Hara is a dancer, yoga teacher, and strong chess player born in sunny Athens, Greece and is the happiest when she is on the beach. She is currently based in New York City. She began studying Chemical Engineering but soon was captivated by dance. After graduating a Professional Dance Conservatory in Athens, which was focusing on Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz, she was awarded the Alexander Onassis Public Benefit Foundation Scholarship and came to New York to pursue her studies at the José Limón Institute. She then continued her dance training and movement research.
After moving to New York, she started exploring and training in different dance styles, discovered and fell in love with yoga. In her practice, yoga helped her find grounding and balance within the constant state of flux of the city, cultivate fluidity and inner peace, and start thinking of the body as an organic instrument with no limits, just expansions.
